Another vintage handkerchief with edging made from vintage thread. The pattern is #36 on page 16 in A Tatter's Workbook by A. Tatter. The thread is Star brand in red/green/white variegated, size 70.

Off the Shuttle: Leafy Handkerchief Tatted Edging

Another tatted edging on a handkerchief from my stash. I decided that the design on the handkerchief called for an edging that would echo the printed leaves. Joȅlle Paulson's Christmas Tree Edging, without the beads called for in her pattern, gave the leafy effect I was looking for. The thread is a variegated DMC in size 80, color #99 which matched the leaf colors almost perfectly.
